Documents: Supported Types

The following document types can be uploaded to your Workspace:

• ✅ PDF
• ✅ JPEG images
• ✅ PNG images

• ⚠️ HEIC images
• ⚠️ TIFF images

Documents are categorised as:

• Certificates: for all maritime related qualifications and Discharge Books. A list of all the certs we recognise is here. Start typing a general word from the certificate type (eg "Fire" or "Master" and select the right one). If the scanner doesn't recognise the certificate or the issuer please let us know using the link.
• IDs & Visas
• Passports
• Other: for all other documents including Vessel Documents. You can create set names for your documents in Workspace Settings and "Document name suggestions ('other' category)". 

If the document scanner fails to scan a PDF file, it may be due to a PDF formatting issue.

To resolve this either take a screenshot of the PDF document and upload the image file, or try printing or saving the PDF file as a new PDF.
